17 Cattle Driving Photos That Capture the Spirit of the Experience

Long before there were such things as highways and also the modernized ranching techniques, cattle drives stood as a truly defining element of the American West. It was during cattle drives that cowboys would get out there and gracefully herd thousands of cattle, spanning across enormous, untamed landscapes. These difficult journeys would test cowboys to the very core of their being. We’ve pulled together some exceptional photos that capture the spirit of the adventurous experience.
